Malar Publication Limited (Malar) is part of the Daily Thanthi family (No. 1 morning daily Tamil newspaper), which was founded in 1942 by Shri.Si.Pa. Aditanar. The business was expanded further by his son, Padmasri Dr. Sivanthi Adithan. The family publishes and prints Daily Thanthi, Maalai Malar,Gokulam Kathir, Rani Muthu and Rani Weekly. Now, Mr. Balasubramanian Adityan, grandson of Shri. Si.Pa. Aditanar has taken up the mantle and has greatly contributed to the success of the household name that Malar Publications has become.
